Toxins

  1. BHA and BHT:  Carcinogen and endocrine disruptor; used in cosmetics
  2. Coal Tar Dyes:  Carcinogen; used in processed foods, coloring agent such as hair dyes, lipstick, and mascara
  3. DEA:  Carcinogen; used in moisturizers and shampoo
  4. Dibutyl Phtalate:  Endocrine disruptor, reproductive toxicant; used in nail care products
  5. Formaldehyde Releasing Preservatives:  Carcinogen; used in a variety of cosmetics as a preservative
  6. Parabens: Endocrine disruptor, may interfer with male reproduction; used in cosmetics as a preservative
  7. Parfume: Carcinogen,  Neurotoxin,  Allergan;  used in a variety of cosmetics
  8. PEG Compounds: can be contaminated with 1,4 -dioxane which may be a carcinogen: cosmetic cream bases
  9. Petrolatum: Carcinogen; used in hair products for shine, moisture barrier in lip stick and balms
  10. Siloxanes: Endocrine disruptor, reproductive toxicant; used in cosmetics to soften, smooth and moisten
  11. Sodium laureth Sulfate: Carcinogen; used in foaming cosmetics, shampoos, cleaners, and bubble baths
  12. Triclosan: Endocrine disruptor, antibiotic resistance; tooth paste, cleaners, antiperspirants
